Storyboard Studios Overview
Just a little info about us.
First and foremost, Storyboard Studios is not a production company as some people will claim to be. If they were, they would have a production company with a staff and several cameras and in-house production equipment, and editing rooms.
Storyboard Studios is where me and others do creative work. Whether it's making storyboards, doing post editing or coming up with ideas for music videos or making TV commercials and promo spots, I come up with ideas for clients and associates and put them on screen.
I am fortunate to have a few tools of the trade to help me achieve these things like a Canon XL1S, Canon HV30 HD camera, a Brevis 35mm adapter, a SkyCrane, a Glidecam, and a good editing suite and more.
However, some people who I speak with are under the impression that I am a production house. I quickly inform them that I am not. Some people out there claim to be, meanwhile, they edit in their dining room.
I deliver product that is similiar to that of a production company thanks to the equipment I have and the people involved with me but I am a creative director after all. I just use my video equipment to allow me to get the job done. Of course with the help of some really cool software and knowing how to use it, that's where the creativity comes in.
So learn to use what you got.
I believe in storyboarding your projects whether a movie or music video or whatever. It helps the crew out so they can see what your thoughts are on shots and so the talent can see what you have in mind for them. It helps out the days filming as well and keeps things moving along.
I believe very much in the philosophies of Robert Rodriguez and how he directs. How he can complete a project with minimal equipment and funding, and how to be a threat to bigger companies because I am producing similar product using less money, less crew and less equipment.
Believe me, everyone thinks of their budget even when they say that budget is not a problem.

Nothing special just something you might like to know.
I deal mainly with what is know as "Special Interest Video." Whether it be streetracing, aggressive inline skating, stunt bikes, girls going crazy, or dog and pet enthusiasts, whatever it is, it's out there and I like to be involved in those fields. It keeps your mind open to alot of things.
Believe me I've seen some wild stuff out there. But I'm an open-minded person so it takes alot to shock me. That's what makes me drawn to what I do. There are alot of cool and interesting things out there and I like to help others get that exposure with their special interests. With my help I like to take stuff I've seen and learned and apply it to other projects that I work on. It's my way of being "cultured". I mean how can others embrace your interests if you don't embrace theirs?
Anyway, let's move on. Shall we...?
